Roald Dahl's INSPIRATION
Most of Roald Dahl's inspiration came for his family. In his book The Wiches the grandma is based on his own Mother. In BOY (the book about his life) all of the characters are based on real poeple in his life. When he wrote ROALD DAHL'S COOKBOOK he remembered his mother. Charlie and the Chocolate Fatory formed in his head while staring at the candies for sale as a child. MissTrunchball from Matilda was based on one of his head masters.
